According to recent intelligence from the United Kingdom, Ukrainian forces have managed to maintain their presence on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region, successfully repelling repeated attacks from Russian forces. Despite facing logistical challenges, Ukraine's defenders remain resolute in their defense of the region.

On January 16, 2024, a spokesperson for Ukraine's Southern Defense Forces acknowledged the difficulties they had faced in terms of logistical supply on the left bank of the Dnipro. However, despite these challenges, Russian forces from the Dnepr Grouping have been unable to dislodge the Ukrainian defenders.

Analysts have noted that while Russia arguably holds a numerical advantage in terms of forces, their poor training and coordination in the area have limited their offensive capabilities. This has allowed the Ukrainian forces to hold their ground and repel Russian attacks effectively.

The report states that forcing Ukraine to withdraw its forces from the left bank of the Dnipro remains a priority objective for Russia. Despite the growing personnel losses suffered by the Russian forces, it is highly likely that attacks in the Krynky area will persist in the coming weeks.

In a recent skirmish, Ukraine's defense forces successfully destroyed a SNAR-10 Leopard counterbattery radar and nine armored vehicles used by the Russian invaders on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region. This demonstrates the resilience and effectiveness of the Ukrainian defenders in the face of Russian aggression.

As the conflict in the region continues, the situation in the Kherson region remains a critical focal point. Ukrainian forces endeavor to hold their ground, defending their position on the left bank of the Dnipro River against ongoing Russian attacks. The international community closely watches the developments as Ukraine persists in its determination to safeguard its territories.
