Three female University of Arizona students have come forward to report incidents of groping, following, and attempted abduction, all occurring within a mile radius near the university campus. Tucson police are actively searching for the suspect, described as a heavy-set Hispanic man with a dark complexion and buzz-cut hair, standing between 5-feet, 10-inches to 6-feet tall. The most recent attack took place late Monday night, prompting authorities to intensify security measures and seek public assistance in identifying and apprehending the serial predator.

During a Wednesday press conference, Tucson Assistant Police Chief Christopher Dennison shared details of the most recent assault. He stated that the victim was grabbed from behind and fondled over her clothes. However, she managed to drop to the ground, scream, and eventually escape when the suspect fled to his vehicle and drove away. Fortunately, no physical harm has been reported in any of the incidents.

The two earlier incidences happened on December 6 and 7, where two separate female students also reported being grabbed from behind by a man who fled when they screamed. They provided a similar description of the vehicle - a purple or dark-blue car, possibly an early 2000s Toyota Camry or Corolla, with a dented front bumper, tinted windows, and a faded or flaking Arizona license plate.

Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police or call 911. As a response to the escalating situation, the University of Arizona Police Department (UAPD) has enhanced its patrol capabilities by increasing visibility and engagement around campus. UAPD plans to utilize police officers, safety aides, and student community service officers to bolster security measures.

The investigation into these incidents involves multiple law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, U.S. Marshals Service, University of Arizona Police Department, and Oro Valley Police Department. Their collective efforts aim to identify and apprehend the suspect responsible for these disturbing attacks.

As the search continues, the safety of University of Arizona students remains a top priority. Authorities are working diligently to apprehend the serial predator and provide a secure environment for all members of the university community.
