Memphis Police on High Alert as Violent Suspect Remains at Large

The Memphis Police Department is issuing a public warning concerning a fugitive who is believed to be responsible for multiple violent crimes throughout the city. The suspect, described as wearing all-black clothing, a black ski mask, and distinctive purple shoes, is currently on the run, posing a significant threat to public safety.
According to authorities, the suspect recently carried out a carjacking at an Aldi store located at 2765 South Perkins Road, stealing a white 2016 Dodge Charger with a Tennessee license plate bearing the number BPT-4410. Additionally, a separate carjacking incident took place in the 3700 block of East Shelby Drive, where a blue Nissan Maxima was stolen.
In a tragic turn of events, the suspect is also believed to be connected to a fatal shooting that occurred at 3834 East Shelby Drive. One man lost his life during Sunday morning's incident. Police were promptly alerted to a shooting in the 3800 block of East Shelby Drive, where they discovered a victim who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Law enforcement has also confirmed that two women were shot, and a young boy was bitten by a dog in the area of 3575 Commerce Circle. The suspect is suspected to have been involved in the carjacking of the stolen white Dodge Charger from the Aldi on South Perkins Road.
Further investigations reveal that the suspect may also be connected to an incident where shots were fired at 3539 Pilot Drive. Thankfully, no injuries were reported in this particular case.
Initially, the police had reported that seven people were injured in the shooting at 3575 Commerce Circle. However, they later corrected the information, stating that only two women were injured, while a juvenile was bitten by a dog.
Detectives and officers from the Memphis Police Department are actively working on investigating these incidents and are diligently searching for the suspect. With a heightened sense of urgency, law enforcement officials are urging the public to be vigilant and report any sightings or information about the suspect or his vehicle by immediately calling 911.
