A Massachusetts man is currently being sought by law enforcement for questioning in connection with the Sunday homicide of his wife. The tragic incident occurred inside their Gardner home, leaving authorities deeply concerned for the safety of the public.
The victim has been identified as 30-year-old Breanne "Breezy" Pennington, who was discovered deceased inside their Cherry Street residence on Sunday. In response to the situation, the Massachusetts Department of Children and Family Services (DCF) swiftly intervened and took custody of the four children who were present at the time.
The Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early Jr.'s office released a statement on Sunday, revealing that the husband, 33-year-old Aaron Pennington, is currently being sought by both the Massachusetts State Police and Gardner Police. While the investigation is ongoing, authorities have raised alarm as they believe Pennington may be armed with a firearm, urging the public to exercise caution.
The Gardner Police Department, in a Monday update, reiterated the seriousness of the situation, emphasizing that Pennington should be considered "armed and dangerous." The police department also provided a physical description of the suspect, stating that Aaron Pennington is a white male, standing 6 feet, 2 inches tall, and weighing approximately 175 pounds. He has blonde hair and striking blue eyes.
According to Breanne Pennington's social media posts, the family had recently relocated from California to Gardner. She shared her excitement about their new home, an 1880s colonial revival property on Cherry Street, in a Facebook group dedicated to old houses. Tragically, this is the very location where she was found deceased.
Posts from Aaron Pennington's social media account reveal that the couple may have been members of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints (LDS). Aaron expressed deep affection for his wife and family, emphasizing their importance in his life.
Law enforcement is urging anyone with information regarding Aaron Pennington's whereabouts not to approach him but to contact the Massachusetts State Police at 508-829-8236 or the Gardner Police Department at 978-632-5600.
As the investigation into the tragic death of Breanne Pennington continues, authorities are actively working to apprehend her husband and gather more information surrounding the circumstances of the incident. The safety of the community remains their top priority, and they are relying on the cooperation of the public to assist in bringing the case to a resolution.
