A shocking incident unfolded in Lincoln County, Kentucky, as authorities arrested a man and rescued a missing teenager who was found concealed inside a hidden trap door at his residence. The arrest citation reveals a disturbing chain of events and numerous charges faced by the suspect, identified as 34-year-old Zackary Jones.

Deputies from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office were summoned to the 1400 block of Robertstown Rd. on Christmas Day regarding an altercation involving Jones and his "girlfriend." Upon their arrival, Jones denied her presence in the home. However, as the deputies explored the premises with him, they noticed drug paraphernalia in plain sight, which appeared to have residue on it.

In a desperate attempt to dispose of the evidence, the arrest citation states that Jones swiftly seized the paraphernalia and attempted to discard it in a wood stove situated within his bedroom. The quick-thinking deputies intervened, managing to restrain Jones and relocate him to the back of a cruiser while they resumed their investigation.

Their search took a shocking turn when the deputies discovered the missing 16-year-old girl concealed inside a trap door, cleverly concealed beneath a rug in Jones' bedroom. The teenage girl had been reported missing earlier in December from North Carolina. She disclosed to the authorities that Jones had picked her up and transported her back to Kentucky.

Disturbingly, the deputies noted that the teenager appeared to be under the influence of drugs at the time of her discovery. Jones allegedly confessed to engaging in drug use with the minor as well as admitting to a sexual relationship with her.

As a result of these harrowing events, Jones is now facing a litany of charges. These include assault, strangulation, unlawful transaction with a minor involving an illegal sex act, unlawful transaction with a minor involving an illegal controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance (specifically cocaine), and resisting arrest.

Sources indicate that additional charges may be filed against Jones in relation to the situation in North Carolina, emphasizing the gravity of the offenses he is accused of committing. The authorities are determined to ensure that justice is served and to protect any other potential victims involved in this distressing case.

The community and law enforcement agencies will be anxiously monitoring the legal proceedings to ensure the safety and well-being of the courageous teenager while seeking justice for the crimes committed against her.
