Former TCU football player, Zach Muckleroy, who had transitioned to become CEO of Muckleroy and Falls Construction Company, along with his two children, 12-year-old Judson and 9-year-old Lindsey, were tragically killed in a three-car crash on Wednesday. The accident occurred off Highway 281, approximately 50 miles west of Austin, according to Fox 4.

Muckleroy's wife, Lauren, survived the crash but is currently in critical condition at an Austin hospital after being airlifted there following the accident.

The sudden and devastating incident was confirmed by Muckleroy and Falls Construction Company, expressing their heartbreak. The company took to Facebook to pay tribute to Zach Muckleroy, describing him as charismatic with the ability to light up any room he entered. They highlighted his charitable heart that left a lasting impact on the Fort Worth community and emphasized his love and pride in being an alumnus of TCU.

A vigil was held at the University Christian Church in Fort Worth on Friday night in honor of Zach Muckleroy and his children. The event saw the attendance of hundreds of people, reflecting the deep sorrow and support within the community.

Senior minister Russ Peterman shared updates on Lauren Muckleroy's condition, revealing that she had undergone multiple surgeries and has since awakened. Peterman expressed his affection for the Muckleroy family, emphasizing their longstanding connection to the Fort Worth church.

Former Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price, a close friend of the Muckleroy family, spoke at the vigil, reminiscing about Zach's childhood and highlighting their contributions to the community. She described them as pillars of the community, known for their strong Christian values, family-oriented nature, and successful business ventures.

Zach Muckleroy, a former player for the Horned Frogs football team in 1998, also received condolences from his former coach, Gary Patterson. Coach Patterson shared his heartfelt condolences upon learning about the tragic passing of his former player and his children. He expressed his sorrow and described Zach as a great Horned Frog, husband, father, and friend.

The loss of Zach Muckleroy and his children, Lindsey and Judson, has sent shockwaves through the Fort Worth community and beyond.
