Former host for Russia's state-funded RT network, Anton Krasovsky, revealed on Sunday that he had been hospitalized following sudden health issues, while Ukrainian media outlets cited anonymous intelligence sources claiming that he had been poisoned. Krasovsky had been suspended from RT last year after making controversial remarks on air, sparking outrage and accusations of "genocide incitement."

According to Krasovsky, his health deterioration began with stomach discomfort and nausea, ultimately leading to loss of consciousness. He was then taken to a clinic for further treatment. The exact cause of his illness and state of his condition remains unknown.

Ukrainian media outlet Kyiv Post, citing undisclosed intelligence sources, reported on Monday that Krasovsky had allegedly been poisoned. The sources claimed that his health was deteriorating rapidly and suggested that his Telegram message announcing his condition was not written by Krasovsky himself. However, independent verification of Kyiv Post's report is currently unavailable.

Another anonymous source, this time cited by the Mash Telegram channel, mentioned that Krasovsky had been hospitalized after fainting. The source indicated that he had regained consciousness and was currently in the hospital ward. However, the origin and reliability of this information have not been confirmed.

Krasovsky, who is also under EU sanctions for his pro-war stance, caused outrage with his remarks on RT last year. He called for Ukrainian children who considered Russians as occupiers to be "drowned or burned." The comments were strongly condemned, with Ukraine's Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, accusing RT of "aggressive genocide incitement" and calling for a global ban on the channel.

As of now, Krasovsky has not made any official comments regarding the poisoning allegations.

The circumstances surrounding Anton Krasovsky's hospitalization and the poisoning claims remain unclear. Investigations and official statements are awaited to shed light on the situation, including any potential links between his controversial remarks and the reported poisoning.
