Armed Kentucky EMTs Subdue Woman Accused of Ax Attack at Emergency Service Station

Armed Kentucky emergency medical technicians (EMTs) successfully subdued a woman who allegedly attacked a man with an ax before smashing a glass door at the Carter County EMS station in Olive Hill, according to the local police department.
The Olive Hill Police Department reported that the incident occurred around 1 a.m. on Friday. Kellie Boggs, a 44-year-old resident of Grayson, is accused of assaulting an unidentified man with an ax, leaving him with serious injuries to his face. The victim was later discovered in a ditch behind the west base of the Carter County EMS station.
Following the attack, Boggs managed to reach the EMTs' station and proceeded to smash a glass door. Several EMTs who were sleeping inside the station swiftly responded to the commotion, taking immediate action to subdue Boggs. They held her at gunpoint until local law enforcement arrived on the scene.
Authorities have charged Boggs with assault and criminal mischief. She is currently held at the Carter County Detention Center pending further legal proceedings.
Meanwhile, the injured victim was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he is undergoing treatment for his severe injuries.
