12-Year-Old Child Shot in Lincolnia, Virginia; Suspects at Large

A shocking incident unfolded on Tuesday afternoon in Lincolnia, Virginia, as a 12-year-old child was shot multiple times, according to the Fairfax County police. The shooting occurred around 4:20 p.m. in the 4600 block of North Chambliss Street.
Emergency responders quickly arrived on the scene and discovered the child with gunshot wounds to the lower body. The injured child was promptly transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Sgt. Jacob Pearce, from the Fairfax County police, revealed during a news conference that investigators suspect the involvement of multiple assailants in the incident. At least one suspect was reported to have fled the area in a white BMW. However, the police have a very limited description of the suspects at this time, and they are relying on video footage and tips from the community to aid their investigation.
