The highly anticipated main event between Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor at UFC 303 may have been canceled, but the war of words between the two fighters shows no signs of abating. McGregor recently revealed his withdrawal from the fight and event due to a broken toe, sparking a social media feud between the fighters.

Taking to Twitter, McGregor posted a meme mocking Chandler and jokingly suggesting that he would still make an appearance at UFC 303 despite not being able to fight, claiming he had made a commitment. This ignited a response from Chandler, who fired back at McGregor on Sunday morning.

Chandler pointed out that McGregor had attended the Bellator Dublin event at the 3Arena, the same location where their scheduled press conference was supposed to take place on June 3. He playfully taunted McGregor about his choice of footwear, referring to his slippers and sarcastically asking him, "Who's the Bellator Tick now?"

McGregor's appearance at the event was to support his teammate Sinead Kavanagh, who unfortunately succumbed to a second-round submission defeat against Arlene Blencowe. In a surprising turn of events, McGregor was even interviewed in the cage by Dan Hardy during the broadcast, bringing further attention to his presence.

However, with the cancellation of their fight and uncertainty about a potential rematch, Chandler now faces a critical decision. Should he continue to wait for McGregor, who has been on the sidelines since his loss to Dustin Poirier in November 2022, or should he move on from his fellow coach on the 2023 season of The Ultimate Fighter?

McGregor has expressed a desire to return to the Octagon in August or September, but with the UFC's calendar already set, it remains unclear when and if the fight between the two rivals will be rescheduled. Fans will undoubtedly be eagerly awaiting an update on this heated rivalry as both fighters navigate their next moves in the world of mixed martial arts.
