Former Spice Girl and renowned fashion designer, Victoria Beckham, has recently opened up about her newfound body confidence and relaxed approach to her diet. The 50-year-old star, known for her disciplined eating habits, has revealed that she no longer cares about what others think of her looks and is now enjoying indulging in wine.
Featured on the front cover of Grazia magazine, Beckham showcases her toned physique in a lace bra under an open blazer, exuding confidence and self-acceptance. In an interview with the publication, she admits that her body insecurities once prevented her from fully enjoying moments like watching her children play on the beach.
However, Beckham shared that negative comments no longer faze her, and she has become more accepting of her appearance. She remains disciplined with her diet and maintains a regular workout routine but has let go of calorie counting, stating, "Life's too short. Let's have a nice time."
Previously, Beckham's husband, David, disclosed that she has stuck to a consistent diet of grilled fish and steamed vegetables for the past 25 years. Despite David's culinary exploration and experimentation, Victoria rarely deviates from her set menu. Only during her pregnancy with daughter Harper did she venture beyond her usual food choices.
Victoria, known for her strict dietary preferences, avoids food cooked in oil, butter, or sauces, and she abstains from red meat and dairy. Her own comfort food is a piece of whole grain toast with salt. She embraces simplicity in her meals, preferring steamed vegetables, balsamic vinegar, and seasoning.
The fashion designer has revealed that her approach to food has garnered mixed reactions from restaurants, jokingly saying she might be their worst nightmare. However, she has learned to embrace her personal preferences, with a special fondness for steamed vegetables.
Looking back, Victoria reminisced about an incident on Chris Evans's Channel 4 show TFI Friday in 1999, where she was pressured to weigh herself live on air, just months after giving birth to her son Brooklyn. Reflecting on the experience, she criticized the host for subjecting her to such scrutiny, emphasizing that weight loss post-pregnancy does not indicate an eating disorder.
Victoria, who shares four children with David - Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper - is supported by her husband, who helps her prepare a nutritious "green juice" containing ingredients like broccoli, spinach, cucumber, celery, apple, ginger, lemon, and lime.
In a separate revelation, Victoria disclosed her teenage dirtbag moments on TikTok, sharing throwback pictures showcasing her fashion choices, including a giant perm, oversized shiny bomber jackets, and bold makeup looks.
With her evolving attitude towards body image and a more relaxed approach to her diet, Victoria Beckham is setting an example of self-acceptance and embracing one's unique preferences.
