The much-anticipated 2025 FIFA Club World Cup is set to take place from June 14 to July 13 in the United States, featuring an unprecedented number of teams. Thirty-two clubs from six FIFA confederations will participate in the tournament, marking a significant expansion from previous editions.

Teams will be divided into eight groups of four, engaging in a round-robin format where each club plays three matches during the group stage. The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage, starting with the round of 16. The competition will reach its climax with the final match hosted at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Among the notable participants are the last two champions of the contest, Manchester City (2023) and Real Madrid (2022), highlighting an illustrious roster of top-tier clubs from around the globe. The allure of the tournament is further amplified by a record $1bn prize purse, which will be distributed among the confederations and participating clubs. The champions of the tournament have the potential to earn up to $125m, making it one of the most lucrative prizes in club football history.
