Two Delta Air Lines Planes Clip Wings at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport

In an incident at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on Thursday morning, two Delta Air Lines planes made contact with each other while on a taxiway. Thankfully, no injuries were reported in the incident, which involved two Airbus A320 planes operated by Delta.
According to a spokesperson from Delta, the collision occurred during the pushback from the gate of one of the aircraft. Described as a "low-speed contact," the incident involved a combined total of 271 people who were on board the two aircraft at the time.
Delta teams are currently working to reaccommodate the passengers to their final destinations after the incident caused a delay in their travels. The airline spokesperson apologized to the affected customers for the inconvenience caused.
As of now, Delta is conducting an investigation into the collision to determine the cause and any necessary steps to prevent similar incidents in the future.
