In a heartbreaking turn of events, Lucy Morgan, a 6-year-old girl from New Jersey, tragically lost her life in a badminton accident while on a family vacation. The incident occurred on June 1 during a fun-filled trip to Limerick, Maine.

According to an obituary shared by Lucy's father, James, Lucy had approached her mother, Bethany, with a solemn question just weeks before the accident. Expressing her curiosity about being with God and finding salvation, Lucy sought guidance from her mother. Bethany explained the concept to her, offering to pray together, but Lucy, known for her independence, insisted on doing it alone. She retreated to her room and fervently prayed to God, later journaling her love for Him through heartfelt words and pictures.

Tragedy struck when Lucy's 10-year-old brother was swinging a badminton racquet, which unexpectedly snapped, sending a sharp splinter from the handle piercing Lucy's skull. The impact inflicted a catastrophic brain injury, leading to her untimely death. Despite immediate medical intervention, Lucy's brain functioning had ceased, leaving no hope for recovery.
