Tragic Accident Claims Life of New York State Thruway Authority Worker

In a devastating incident on Thursday, a tractor-trailer collided with two New York State Thruway Authority workers, resulting in the death of one worker and leaving another seriously injured. The incident occurred on Interstate 90 in Chili, New York, around noon.

According to New York State Police, the victims, aged 62 and 58, were working in a designated work zone when the accident occurred. Tragically, the 62-year-old worker lost his life, while the 58-year-old was rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

Trooper Lynnea Crane has confirmed that impairment has been ruled out, and as of now, no charges have been filed. However, authorities are conducting an investigation into the cause of the crash.
