**Tom Brady Approved as Limited Partner by NFL Owners in Las Vegas Raiders**
NFL ownership has given the green light for seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady to become a limited partner of the Las Vegas Raiders. According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, Brady and his associate now possess a 10% share in the team, with Brady individually holding a 5% stake.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell endorsed Brady's foray into ownership, expressing at the Fall League Meeting in Atlanta that Brady's investment underscores his deep commitment and belief in the future of the game. "It's great that Tom Brady wants to invest in the NFL," Goodell remarked.
In another player-owner venture, Hall of Famer Richard Seymour, who was a former teammate of Brady while playing for the New England Patriots and also a former player for the Raiders, has secured a small ownership share.
This development concludes a lengthy pursuit for Brady, who initially sought to gain a minority interest in the Raiders in May 2023. The acquisition process faced delays partly due to valuation issues of the sold percentage and concerns over Brady's concurrent role as a FOX Sports broadcaster.
In August, the NFL imposed restrictions on Brady's broadcasting capabilities to address his potential conflict of interest with the Raiders. Specifically, Brady is barred from attending in-person or online broadcast production meetings and accessing team facilities, players, or coaches. However, he retains the freedom to broadcast Raiders games under FOX, whose staff remain unaffected by these restrictions. Additionally, Brady must comply with the league's rules against publicly criticizing officials and other teams.
Goodell acknowledged that Brady has complied with the restrictions since beginning his broadcasting career. "Tom's been abiding by the issues that we raised through the committee voluntarily since he began his broadcasting," Goodell stated, confirming that the concerns have been satisfactorily addressed.
Having retired from professional football after the 2022 season, Brady has embarked on a new journey as part of FOX's top NFL broadcasting team alongside play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt. Although he inked a 10-year contract with the network in 2022, this season marks Brady's debut as an NFL game announcer.
