### Bill Belichick Weighs in on the Intense Ravens-Steelers Rivalry

The longstanding animosity between the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers is legendary in the NFL. These teams have been at each other's throats since the Ravens entered the league in 1996, often clashing for the division crown. Their numerous intense matchups, especially notable in the late 2000s and early 2010s, have solidified this rivalry as one of the most heated in football.

As the Ravens and Steelers gear up to contest the AFC North lead this Sunday, several prominent NFL figures have shared their thoughts on this storied feud. Among them is renowned New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, who offered a humorous yet pointed observation on his "Coach" podcast.

"The Ravens and the Steelers can't stand each other," Belichick remarked. "They don't do Christmas cards."

Belichick's comment aptly captures the essence of the rivalry. He emphasized the mutual disdain, noting, "Those two teams, they do not like each other. This is really going to be an interesting game."

When asked to break down the upcoming matchup, Belichick remained characteristically succinct. "This is a little bit of strength on strength," he said. "When you look at Pittsburgh's defense and Baltimore's offense... (Lamar) Jackson's Jackson. Pittsburgh's Pittsburgh's defense. (Mike) Tomlin's Tomlin. There's a lot of familiarity there and a lot of dislike."

Belichick has had his own battles with both teams, usually coming out on top. Throughout his storied tenure with the Patriots, he holds a 9-5 record against Baltimore (2-2 in the postseason) and a 14-4 record against Pittsburgh (3-0 in the postseason).

The fierce rivalry continues to be a highlight of the NFL season, with another showdown scheduled for December 21 in Baltimore. As Belichick pointed out, despite the holiday season, the Ravens and Steelers are unlikely to extend any festive greetings to each other now or then.
