### Texas Holds Firm at No. 1 as Oregon Climbs to No. 2 in US LBM Coaches Poll
A thrilling weekend of college football has brought some clarity to the latest US LBM Coaches Poll, particularly at the top. This week, there's almost unanimous agreement among the panelists, with each placing Texas and Oregon in the top two slots.
Texas continues to hold the No. 1 position, following a convincing victory over their Red River rival, Oklahoma. The Longhorns received 53 out of 55 first-place votes, underscoring their dominance and retaining their top spot.
Oregon, which emerged victorious against Ohio State in a memorable prime-time showdown, garnered the remaining two first-place votes. Consequently, the Ducks have moved up to the No. 2 spot and were voted second on all other ballots.
With a dramatic comeback win at Southern California, Penn State has vaulted to No. 3 in the rankings, leapfrogging Georgia, which remains at No. 4. Ohio State experienced a slight decline, slipping to No. 5 after their loss to Oregon.
Positions six through ten see Miami (Fla.) and Alabama holding steady at No. 6 and No. 7, respectively, while LSU, Clemson, and Tennessee complete the top 10.
Mississippi faced a significant drop, falling seven places to No. 15 after succumbing to a late rally from LSU. Both Oklahoma and Utah have exited the top 25 rankings this week.
Army makes its debut in the poll at No. 24 following a dominant performance against UAB that improved their record to 6-0. Nebraska also returns to the rankings, occupying the No. 25 spot.
The recent shuffling clearly delineates the teams that have emerged as front-runners, while others continue to battle for position as the season progresses.
