In a heartfelt revelation on the season finale of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, Amber Portwood, known for her appearances on the popular reality TV show, candidly shared the emotional turmoil she experienced following the sudden disappearance of her then-fiancé, Gary Wayt. The incident, which occurred in June and ended with Wayt being located less than a week later, deeply impacted Portwood's mental health.

Portwood tearfully expressed her anguish in the parking lot of her psychiatrist's office during the emotionally-charged episode. "That day, that man left for no reason," she sobbed. "Why am I getting persecuted? 'We know Amber killed him.' I had to deal with that. Do you know how that feels? When people are calling you a murderer about your f--king fiancé?... They were calling me a murderer, and they said I f--king killed him."

The 34-year-old reality star, who shares a daughter, Leah (15), with her ex Gary Shirley, and a son, James (5), with her ex Andrew Glennon, described the overwhelming mixture of emotions she had been grappling with. "I've had to deal with thinking my fiancé was dead for three to four days," she revealed. "I had to deal with literally grieving and trying to make sense of why the f--k would somebody do this to me. I am going through something right now."

Portwood, who has been open about her bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder diagnosis for over 15 years, expressed her struggle in navigating unfamiliar emotional terrain. "I'm in such a weird space that I've never been in," she confessed. "This rambling is so backward for me."

She went on to explain how Wayt's sudden departure had deeply impacted her stability. "This man broke me," she admitted. "I was stable. Right now, this is the first time in years in my life I am not f--king right because a man put a ring on my finger."

During her therapy session captured on camera, Portwood candidly shared her feelings of betrayal. "If you want to show what heartbreak is, this is it," she reflected. "It's not just about a man. He looked at my family, my daughter, and just asked to be a big, happy family."

As for the reasons behind Wayt's decision to leave the North Carolina hotel where they were staying, Portwood believed that her troubled past, including abuse allegations and imprisonment, played a significant role. "I guess his dad read my Wikipedia page," she revealed. "I think he was holding in the fact that maybe he heard from his family or something and not telling me. I was just saying, 'I can't do this.' How can we get married then if your family can't accept me? Maybe he took that as me breaking up with him. It seemed like to me he was upset and maybe hopeless."

Amber Portwood's raw and vulnerable admission has shed light on the immense emotional burden she experienced during her fiancé's disappearance. Her openness about her struggles further underscores the importance of mental health awareness and support, especially in the face of challenging circumstances.
