Pop sensation Taylor Swift, who was in Melbourne, Australia, after her Tokyo concert, was left 'shaken' upon hearing about the tragic shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs victory parade. Taylor Swift, in a state of panic, reached out to her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, at 6 am local time. Upon hearing the news, Swift immediately called Kelce, expressing her deep concern and relief upon hearing his voice.
A source close to Taylor Swift revealed to Daily Mail that she was "extremely worried" upon learning about the shooting and was heartbroken to hear that a person had lost their life during the chaos. The victim was identified as local DJ Lisa Lopez-Galvan.
In response to the devastating incident, Taylor Swift donated $100,000 to the family of the victim and extended her heartfelt condolences. In addition, she reached out to Brittany Mahomes, the wife of quarterback Patrick Mahomes, to offer her support during the difficult time.
Travis Kelce, who also donated $100,000 to assist the injured individuals and their family, expressed his sorrow over the tragedy in a heartfelt message, stating, "I am heartbroken over the tragedy that took place today. My heart is with all who came out to celebrate with us and have been affected. KC, you mean the world to me."
Despite the tragic events, Kelce faced criticism for celebrating the Chiefs' win at a restaurant shortly after the shooting occurred. The shooting took place at around 1:30 pm local time during the parade rally, where Kelce and Mahomes had been hurried off the stage following the outbreak of gunfire.
