A man suspected in the brutal killing of a woman inside a New York City hotel on February 8 has been apprehended in Arizona for allegedly stabbing two women. Raad Almansoori, 26, has been identified as a person of interest in the death of Denisse Oleas-Arancibia, 38, found deceased in her SoHo hotel room, with police ruling her death as a homicide. The suspect was arrested in Arizona after a knifepoint carjacking in Phoenix on February 17, followed by another stabbing the next day in Sunrise, Arizona.

New York City Police Department Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny stated that Almansoori likely engaged in a dispute over the duration of his stay in the hotel room with the victim. Detectives utilized video canvasses, witness interviews, and credit card tracking to pinpoint the suspect, who has an extensive out-of-state arrest history. Almansoori, who has no prior arrest record in New York, mentioned to Arizona law enforcement that he is wanted for homicide in New York City.

Authorities are investigating the possibility of other victims connected to Almansoori, following his claim of having three additional female victims in Florida. The NYPD is collaborating with the Manhattan District Attorney's Office for Almansoori's extradition to face charges related to the February 8 homicide, a process that may span days, weeks, or even months. Law enforcement agencies nationwide are urged to remain vigilant, as there may be more victims linked to the suspect's trail.

The arrest of Raad Almansoori in Arizona has shed light on a potential string of incidents involving violence and raises concerns about the extent of his alleged criminal activities across different states, as investigations continue to unfold.
