The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced that tackle Troy Fautanu, their first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, has been moved to the Reserve/Injured List due to a knee injury sustained during the preseason opener. Fautanu missed the remainder of the preseason but made his debut last week against the Denver Broncos before landing back on the injury report on Friday, ruling him out for the upcoming game against the Chargers. With Fautanu sidelined, tackle Broderick Jones has expressed readiness to take on the challenge of filling in for his injured teammate.

Jones, who was intended to rotate series with Fautanu in the previous game, will now have the opportunity to showcase his skills against the Chargers. Despite facing some challenges in the last game, Jones is confident in his abilities and is focused on delivering a strong performance. The Steelers have also made a roster move by elevating offensive lineman John Leglue from the practice squad to the Active/Inactive Roster for the upcoming game, adding depth to the team's offensive line.

Leglue, who returned to the Steelers practice squad this season after a stint with the Atlanta Falcons in 2023, brings experience and versatility to the team. Originally joining the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Denver Broncos in 2019, Leglue has since spent time with multiple teams, showcasing his determination and commitment to the sport. As the Steelers prepare to face the Chargers, the team remains focused on maintaining their performance and making necessary adjustments to overcome the absence of key players like Fautanu.
