**Seahawks Snap Losing Streak with Thrilling Comeback Against 49ers**
The Seattle Seahawks broke their lengthy losing streak to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday with a dramatic 20-17 comeback victory. This win not only dives the 49ers to the bottom of the NFC West standings, but also keeps Seattle's precarious playoff hopes alive.
In order to finally secure a victory against their division rivals, the Seahawks relied on an inexperienced offensive line. The unit was anchored by left guard Laken Tomlinson, who has played nearly two-thirds of the group's total NFL career snaps. Despite their inexperience, the line held strong enough to give quarterback Geno Smith the opportunity to shine, leading a late-game rally to clinch the victory. Notably, right tackle Abe Lucas made his return to the field, sharing time with Michael Jerrell in his first game back in nearly a year, while the rest of the line played the entire match.
The return of wide receiver DK Metcalf significantly impacted the offensive lineup, resulting in reduced playing time for Jake Bobo and Cody White. Bobo participated in just six offensive plays, his second-lowest total of the season, while White saw only four snaps on offense.
Defensively, linebackers Ernest Jones and Tyrice Knight were instrumental, combining for 114 of the possible 126 snaps. Jones, a recent Seahawks addition, played every snap, whereas newly traded Roy Robertson-Harris contributed just 19 snaps. This game marked a significant change for Seattle's defense as they played without Tyrel Dodson or Jerome Baker for the first time.
With Brady Russell sidelined due to injury, Mike Morris took over on special teams. Though Morris didn’t play any defensive snaps, he led the team with 19 special teams snaps, outperforming Bobo, White, and Josh Ross, each of whom participated in 14 special teams plays.
The Seahawks now look ahead to Week 11, where they will face the NFC West-leading Arizona Cardinals at home.
