Samsung is preparing for the release of its latest wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 3, which are set to feature a revamped design that closely resembles Apple's popular AirPods Pro. Leaked images of the upcoming earbuds and their case were shared on Twitter, giving us a sneak peek of what to expect.
The Galaxy Buds 3 are departing from the distinctive "bean" shape used in previous generations, opting instead for a more common "stem" design. This style, made famous by Apple's AirPods, has been adopted by other brands in the industry, including the Nothing Ear. Samsung's decision to adopt this design change signifies a departure from their previous unique designs.
The newly revealed case for the Galaxy Buds 3 also bears a striking resemblance to the AirPods Pro case. The square-ish design seen in past generations has been replaced with a sleek rectangular shape. The case features a transparent lid, enabling users to view the two earbuds neatly placed inside. The stem of each earbud extends down into the case, and the lid opens horizontally to reveal the earbuds.
While Samsung's move to emulate Apple's AirPods Pro case design may surprise some, it is unlikely to be perceived as a problem. Apple's AirPods cases have long been praised for their compact and aesthetically pleasing designs. It is interesting, however, to see Samsung veering closer towards a similar aesthetic after innovating with unique designs for years.
The Galaxy Buds 3 are expected to be unveiled alongside new foldable devices and smartwatches at a Samsung event scheduled for July 10. With Samsung's reputation for delivering high-quality audio products, fans are eagerly anticipating the launch of the Galaxy Buds 3 and the enhanced features they may bring.
