In a blow to the Los Angeles Rams, offensive lineman Jonah Jackson and safety John Johnson have been placed on injured reserve, adding to the team's growing list of sidelined players. Head coach Sean McVay had previously indicated that both players would be out for an extended period of time. However, there is some positive news for the Rams as star receiver Cooper Kupp, despite sustaining an ankle injury in Week 2, has not been included on the injured reserve list - at least for now.

Kupp's absence would be a significant loss for the Rams. In the first two games of the season, he has displayed his prowess on the field, leading the league with a remarkable 18 receptions for 147 yards and one touchdown. Additionally, Kupp has showcased his versatility by gaining 10 yards on two carries. While he has not been placed on injured reserve, it is widely anticipated that Kupp will be sidelined for a couple of weeks due to his ankle injury.

The Rams' receiving corps has already been dealt a blow with Puka Nacua being placed on injured reserve after suffering a knee injury in Week 1. With the top two receivers now out, the Rams will have to rely on their remaining depth at the position to step up and fill the void.

Alongside Jackson and Johnson, the Rams have a growing list of offensive linemen and secondary players on injured reserve. Joining Jackson on the offensive line are Steve Avila, Joe Noteboom, and Conor McDermott. In the secondary, Johnson is now accompanied by Darious Williams, Deion Kendrick, and Tre Tomlinson.

The Rams will need to find ways to overcome these injury setbacks and maintain their strong start to the season. The depth of their roster will be tested as they seek to maintain a competitive edge in an increasingly challenging NFC West division. As the team rallies together, the focus will be on players stepping up and embracing the opportunity to make an impact in the absence of their injured teammates.

Only time will tell how long these injured players will remain sidelined and how the Rams will adapt to their absence. In the meantime, the coaching staff and medical team will continue to closely monitor the recovery progress of each individual as they work towards a full and healthy roster.
