**Quadruple Homicide Investigation Underway in Birmingham, Alabama**
Authorities in Birmingham, Alabama, are currently investigating a quadruple homicide that took place on Friday afternoon. Police responded to a report of multiple gunshots fired and arrived at the scene to find four men, identified as Terrell Edwards (38), Kevin McGhee (38), Cortez Ray (32), and Talton Tate (36), with apparent gunshot wounds. Sadly, Edwards, Ray, and Tate were pronounced dead at the scene, while McGhee was transported to UAB Hospital with life-threatening injuries and later pronounced dead there.
The Birmingham Police Department suspects that one or more of the victims were targeted in the shooting. The incident occurred at a neighborhood car wash where an unknown suspect opened fire on the four men. At present, no suspects are in custody, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Birmingham Police Department.
Birmingham Police Chief Scott Thurmond expressed dismay at the ongoing violence in the city, emphasizing the need for alternative ways to resolve conflicts. The shooting marks the 12th murder investigation in Birmingham this year, further highlighting the need for increased safety measures in the city.
