**Pro Football Hall of Fame Narrows Down Candidates, Includes Three Former Steelers**

The Pro Football Hall of Fame has taken a significant step forward in its selection process for the Class of 2025 by trimming down the extensive list of Modern-Era Nominees from 167 to 50 candidates. Among those who have made the cut are three notable former Pittsburgh Steelers: kicker Gary Anderson, linebacker James Harrison, and receiver Hines Ward.

In the coming weeks, the roster of Modern-Era nominees will see another reduction, with the list being further narrowed to 25 semifinalists. This meticulous selection process also encompasses voting in other categories, including Seniors, Coach, and Contributor sectors. Ultimately, 20 finalists will be presented at the annual meeting of the Selection Committee early next year, just ahead of Super Bowl LIX. These finalists will comprise 15 Modern-Era Players, three Seniors, one Coach, and one Contributor.

Although the Hall of Fame does not set a strict quota for induction numbers, the selection process bylaws mandate that between four and eight new members will be chosen for each class. The final announcement of the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2025 will take place at the "NFL Honors" event in New Orleans, Louisiana, in February, with the official enshrinement ceremony scheduled for August in Canton.
