Princess Anne Recovering at Home After Horse-Related Incident

Princess Anne, sister of King Charles III, has been discharged from Southmead Hospital in Bristol, England, following a horse-related incident last weekend. The princess suffered a concussion and minor injuries while walking on her estate in southwestern England on Sunday.

After spending five nights in the hospital, Princess Anne is now recovering at her Gatcombe Park country home, according to People magazine. Her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, expressed his gratitude to the medical team at Southmead Hospital for their care and kindness during her short stay.

"The king has been kept closely informed and joins the whole royal family in sending his fondest love and well-wishes to the princess for a speedy recovery," stated the palace in a previous announcement.

Vice Admiral Laurence also provided a brief update on Princess Anne's condition, stating that she is recovering well and expressing their gratitude towards the medical team and emergency services who were present at the scene of the incident.

The 69-year-old princess, known for her equestrian skills, recently participated in the Trooping the Colour ceremony on June 15. A viral video showed her expertly handling her horse during the military parade in London.

Princess Anne is renowned for her businesslike approach to her busy schedule of public engagements. Last year alone, she took part in 457 royal engagements, surpassing the numbers of her brother, King Charles III, and her nephew, Prince William.

The princess's recovery progress is steady, as confirmed by ITV's Chris Ship, who shared a video in which Princess Anne assured reporters that she is doing fine.

The royal family and people from around the world have sent an outpouring of well-wishes to Princess Anne, and she and Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence are deeply touched by the kind messages they have received.
