Princess Anne Discharged from Hospital Following Horse Attack, Return to Royal Duties Uncertain
Princess Anne, the sister of King, has been discharged from Southmead Hospital in Bristol after spending several days there for treatment following a horse attack. The 73-year-old royal was rushed to emergency after being struck by a horse in the head while walking on her Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire on Sunday.
The news of Princess Anne's discharge was shared by royal author Rebecca English on social media. English mentioned that it is believed Princess Anne suffered minor injuries and a concussion from the incident. The Princess Royal will now continue to recuperate at Gatcombe Park, but there remains uncertainty regarding her return to public duties.
While fans of the royal family expressed their joy at Princess Anne's discharge, sending their best wishes for her recovery, it is unclear when she will be able to resume her official engagements. According to the statement from royal experts, Princess Anne's return to public duties will depend on her medical advice.
Princess Anne's husband, Sir Tim Lawrence, also expressed his gratitude to the medical team at Southmead Hospital for their excellent care during her short stay. The Princess was forced to cancel all her engagements for the week, including a working visit to Canada scheduled for this Sunday, as well as eight other commitments. Additionally, she was unable to join the King and other senior royals during the Japanese state visit earlier this week.
As the daughter of the late Queen Elizabeth, Princess Anne holds a significant position within the royal family. Her absence from official duties raises questions about how her engagements will be managed during her recovery period. While her fans eagerly await her return, the focus remains on her well-being and ensuring she takes the necessary time to fully recover from the horse attack.
