In a recent article published by The Sunday Times to mark Prince Harry's 40th birthday in September, it has been revealed that his older brother, Prince William, has expressed his desire to have a different atmosphere for his future coronation as King. Friends close to Prince William stated that, at present, he does not wish for Prince Harry to be present during the ceremony.

It is no secret that the brothers' relationship has been strained in recent years, with discussions between them coming to a halt since they last spoke almost two years ago. Prince Harry's decision to step down as a working member of the royal family and relocate to California in 2020 further contributed to the growing divide. The airing of the family's disagreements in the couple's interview with Oprah, their Netflix docuseries, and Prince Harry's memoir, "Spare," have only deepened the rift.

According to a friend of Prince Charles, there is concern within the royal family about having any private conversations with Prince Harry, fearing that they may end up being disclosed in a potential sequel to his memoir. Rebuilding the trust between them seems to be a challenging task, but the friend insists that King Charles III's capacity to forgive his son is unwavering. However, other members of the royal family hold stronger reservations towards Prince Harry.

One of Prince Harry's close friends condemned his actions, deeming them disloyal and outrageous. The successive steps of collaborating with Oprah, Netflix, and now publishing his memoir have driven a wedge between Prince Harry and his loved ones. Furthermore, a former aide to Prince Harry noted that since moving away from the UK and distancing himself from his family, Prince Harry lacks a clear sense of purpose in life, apart from his involvement with the Invictus Games and his role as a father.

In a recent interview with ITV's Rebecca Barry, Prince Harry attributed the strained relationship with his family to their unwillingness to combat the media. He expressed the difficulty of speaking about these issues in public due to the backlash he faces from the press. The couple's Oprah interview also created tension within the royal family, with Meghan Markle alleging that concerns were raised about the potential darkness of their son Archie's skin.

Prince Harry's memoir, "Spare," has further ignited the already tense dynamics within the family. In the book, he criticizes his stepmother, Camilla, accusing her of allowing her PR team to manipulate his public image. Additionally, he refers to Prince William as both his "beloved brother" and his "arch nemesis," shedding light on past verbal and physical clashes between the two.

As Prince William contemplates his future coronation as King, it seems that his preference is to orchestrate an event that sets a different tone from previous traditions. Whether Prince Harry will ultimately be excluded from the ceremony remains uncertain, but the divide between the two brothers lingers as they navigate their strained relationship.
