**Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce Targeted in Recent Home Burglaries**

Kansas City Chiefs' star quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, expressed his frustration and disappointment on Wednesday following recent break-ins at his and teammate Travis Kelce's homes. Both NFL stars fell victim to burglaries at their respective residences just outside Kansas City, Missouri.

Mahomes' home in Belton, Missouri, was targeted in the early morning hours of October 6, while Kelce's residence in Leawood, Kansas, was broken into on October 7. The athletes were reportedly not at home during the burglaries, as they were preparing for the Chiefs' Monday Night Football game against the New Orleans Saints on October 7.

"Obviously it's frustrating, disappointing," Mahomes remarked to reporters ahead of the Chiefs' upcoming matchup against the Buffalo Bills. "I can't get into too many of the details because the investigation is still ongoing. But obviously it's something that you don't want to happen to, really anybody, but obviously yourself."

While Mahomes did not divulge specifics regarding his whereabouts at the time of the incidents, he did note the importance of waiting for the investigation to conclude before discussing further details.

Details on what may have been stolen from Mahomes' home are still unclear. However, according to a police report obtained by NBC affiliate KSHB of Kansas City, thieves took $20,000 in cash from Kelce's residence.
