In a tragic incident, a passenger lost his life on Sunday morning after jumping from Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Seas, the world's largest cruise ship. The ship had just departed from its Florida port for a weeklong cruise to Honduras when the incident occurred, according to the Coast Guard.

The identity of the man remains unknown at this time. The passenger reportedly jumped overboard as the ship was heading towards its first port of call, Roatan in Honduras. The incident took place when the ship was sailing north of Cuba, approximately 300 miles away from Miami, plunging the man into the Gulf of Mexico.
