In celebration of "The Lion King's" 30th anniversary, North West, the daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, is making her debut on the stage of Disney's "The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl." The live concert event will be filmed across two performances and released as a special on Disney+.

North West will star alongside a talented ensemble cast, including renowned actors Jeremy Irons, Nathan Lane, Billy Eichner, Ernie Sabella, Jason Weaver, Jennifer Hudson, and Bradley Gibson. Joining them are Broadway actress Heather Headley and Lebo M., completing the stellar lineup. The performances are set to take place on May 24 and 25, with Disney Branded Television and Fulwell 73 Productions overseeing the production.

The special, titled "The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl," will trace the 30-year evolution of "The Lion King" franchise, showcasing its journey from the beloved 1994 animated film to the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical in 1998 and the dramatic live-action adaptation in 2019. Captured on film, this Disney+ Original special will later be streamed for audiences to enjoy.

Notable Emmy winner Marina Toybina, who has worked on "The Masked Singer" and "Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration," will be responsible for the production's stunning costume designs. Creative showrunners Gabe Turner and Sally Wood from Fulwell, director Paul Dugdale, and production designer Misty Buckley are all set to contribute their expertise to make this event a memorable one.

Fans will be treated to an immersive experience in the Pride Lands, as a full orchestra performs Han Zimmer's iconic score, conducted by Sarah Hicks. The live performances will include beloved tracks from the film's soundtrack, such as "Can You Feel The Love Tonight," "Circle Of Life," and "Hakuna Matata." Additionally, elements from the acclaimed Broadway musical, including award-winning costumes, set design, and innovative puppetry, will be incorporated into the production.

The upcoming prequel from Walt Disney Studios, "Mufasa: The Lion King," directed by Barry Jenkins, will delve into Mufasa's origin story. These live-to-film performances at the Hollywood Bowl serve as a prelude to the highly anticipated film, set to release on December 20.
