In a recent development, star Kansas City Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice has met with Dallas police investigators regarding a multi-vehicle collision that left four people with minor injuries. The incident occurred on Saturday on North Central Expressway in northeast Dallas.

According to a spokesperson for the Dallas Police Department, the investigation is ongoing, and interviews with witnesses, victims, and individuals potentially involved in the crash are being conducted. Rice's lawyer also attended the meeting with the police.

Rice, who had not previously spoken to the authorities, took to Instagram to issue a statement taking full responsibility for his involvement in the matter. He expressed his sincere apologies to all those impacted by the accident and assured his full cooperation with the necessary authorities.

Reports initially linked Rice's name to the incident, suggesting that one of the cars involved in triggering the crash belonged to the football player. Witnesses and video footage revealed that several vehicles slid across the roadway before coming to a stop, after which the occupants of two cars left the scene without checking on others involved in the collision.

The 23-year-old NFL star, who hails from a suburb in Dallas, has sought legal representation from attorney and Texas lawmaker Royce West. West confirmed Rice's cooperation with the authorities and stated that he will take all necessary steps to address the situation responsibly.

The crash occurred around 6:25 p.m. local time, and it involved a Corvette and a Lamborghini, both of which were speeding on the expressway and subsequently collided with at least two other vehicles while attempting to change lanes. Dashcam footage obtained by WFAA captured the incident.

While two individuals with minor injuries were taken to the hospital for treatment, two others received on-site medical assistance. Witnesses, such as Kayla Quinn, who was driving with her 4-year-old son, expressed their dismay at the lack of empathy shown by the occupants of the Lamborghini and Corvette, who left the scene without checking on the well-being of those affected.

Rice, who was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs last year, quickly established himself as one of the team's top wide receivers. He even set an NFL rookie record by making 26 postseason receptions, including six receptions during the Super Bowl, where he played a significant role in the Chiefs' victory.

The Chiefs have yet to comment on the situation. Meanwhile, Dallas police continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the multi-vehicle collision, aiming to determine the exact sequence of events, the individuals involved, and their respective responsibilities.
