Jail records obtained by TMZ Sports indicate Hardy was taken into custody at approximately 2:29 PM on a charge of "assault causes bodily injury family family member."

Sources from the jail have disclosed that Hardy is scheduled to appear before a judge on Thursday morning, at which time a bond is anticipated to be set. Until this court hearing, the 36-year-old will remain in custody. Additional details regarding the allegations against Hardy have not yet been released.

This is not Hardy's first encounter with the law. Back in 2014, he was arrested for allegedly assaulting his then-girlfriend. Two years later, in 2016, he faced legal troubles again, landing behind bars for cocaine possession.

Hardy, who played in the NFL from 2010 to 2015, transitioned to a career in mixed martial arts following his football tenure and has participated in several UFC fights.
