**Nelly Korda Battles Back to Stay in Contention at U.S. Women's Open**

Nelly Korda displayed resilience and determination on Saturday at the U.S. Women's Open, transforming initial struggles into a strong finish. After initially facing difficulties and frustration, Korda shot a 1-over 73 at Erin Hills, bringing her total to 4 under for the championship, placing her three strokes behind 54-hole leader Maja Stark.

Opening the day in the final group of Round 3, the world No. 1 golfer faced a challenging start. Her front-nine performance included four bogeys and no birdies, causing her to fall five shots back. However, Korda's resolve shone through on the back nine, where she made crucial birdies on the 14th, 15th, and 18th holes.

A particularly memorable moment came at the 18th hole, where Korda's 6-foot putt grazed the right edge of the cup and then made a dramatic full-circle spin before dropping in. Reflecting on the putt, Korda admitted, "I may have pushed it just a tiny bit, but right as it was kind of midway there, I'm like, oh, my gosh, I missed it right, and then sometimes you just have to get lucky with a nice ice-cream swirl around the cup."

Korda remains in pursuit of her first win of the season and her inaugural U.S. Women's Open title. As she heads into the final round, her late surge on Saturday keeps her firmly in contention for the championship.
