The La Paz County Sheriff's Office has confirmed the tragic discovery of a woman's body near the California-Arizona state line. The woman, identified as 26-year-old Amanda Neningar, was reported missing in Blythe, California, and was found deceased just outside the small town of Cibola, Arizona.
Authorities revealed that a search and rescue expert located Neningar's lifeless body around 1.5 miles from where her abandoned car was found. Shockingly, she was found unclothed under a tree. The sheriff deputies are now planning to conduct an autopsy to gain further insight into the circumstances surrounding her death. No additional information has been released at this time.
Neningar was last seen alive in Blythe on February 28, and her car was discovered abandoned in the rural Arizona desert south of Cibola a week later. Although she primarily lived near Blythe, she frequently made trips to La Paz County where her relatives reside.
According to La Paz County Sheriff William Ponce, the manner in which Neningar's car was found raised concerns. The vehicle was positioned with its rear end resting on a large boulder, prompting investigators to consider the circumstances surrounding her disappearance as extra peculiar.
The family of Amanda Neningar released a statement expressing their gratitude for the efforts put forth in the search for their loved one. However, they sadly informed the public that she was found deceased on the night of March 29, 2024. The family is devastated by her loss and awaits the results of the ongoing investigation.
