This news was confirmed by agent Rich Paul, who spoke to The Athletic's Shams Charania. Notably, there are no team or player options included in the agreement, as reported by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Bridges, who has been a vital part of the Hornets since joining them in a draft-night trade back in 2018, was the 12th overall pick in that year's draft. During the previous season, the 26-year-old showcased his skills on the court, averaging an impressive 21 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game in 37.4 minutes of play. With a respectable usage rate of 24.2% and a true shooting percentage of 55.6%, Bridges has proven himself as a valuable asset to the team.

However, it hasn't been a smooth journey for the talented forward. He was absent for the entire 2022-23 season and missed the first 10 games of the 2023-24 season due to a league suspension. This suspension was a result of Bridges pleading no contest to a domestic violence charge, which he faced in November 2022. The allegation stated that he assaulted his then-girlfriend in May 2022 in the presence of their two children. While Bridges accepted the conviction and received a three-year probation sentence, he did not formally admit guilt.

In other news concerning the Hornets, it has been reported by The Athletic's Shams Charania that 22-year-old forward Aleksej Pokusevski will be waived by the team. Pokusevski, who was selected as the 17th pick in the 2020 draft, had spent the majority of his career playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder before being waived and subsequently picked up by Charlotte in February.

With the re-signing of Miles Bridges and the decision to waive Aleksej Pokusevski, the Charlotte Hornets are making calculated moves to strengthen their roster. Fans can look forward to seeing Bridges continue to contribute his skills to the team and hope for a successful season ahead.
