In a recent episode of the podcast "Citizen McCain," Meghan McCain, former co-host of "Outnumbered," shared her negative experience with Jennifer Lopez while on set of "The View." McCain described Lopez as a "deeply unpleasant person" and revealed that the singer had the largest entourage she had ever seen during her appearance on the show.
McCain's comments came as part of a larger discussion about the negative stories surrounding Lopez. Despite expressing sympathy for the "I'm Real" singer and acknowledging the rise of bullying towards her, McCain stood firm in her assessment of Lopez's demeanor.
While providing no concrete evidence, McCain alleged that Lopez may have been responsible for her TikTok video being taken down. The video, in which McCain expressed her views on Lopez as a guest on "The View," was later reinstated. However, McCain's co-host, Miranda Wilkins, jokingly mentioned that they were currently "beefing" with Lopez.
A representative for McCain stated that they were unsure about the reason for the violation notice but promptly appealed the decision, resulting in the video being reinstated within a few hours. It should be noted that TikTok's reporting process is anonymous, making it impossible to determine who reported the video.
McCain further recalled an incident backstage where she claimed Lopez had an employee holding a mirror with lights while being touched up. She contrasted this behavior with other celebrity guests, mentioning how Kim Kardashian had been more delightful during her appearance on "The View."
Page Six reached out to a representative for Lopez but did not receive an immediate response.
Providing a counter perspective, a guest on McCain's podcast, producer Carlos King, shared a positive encounter with Lopez earlier in her career. He described her as "so nice" and expressed admiration for her work ethic and talent as a performer.
It has been an eventful year for Lopez. She recently canceled her upcoming tour in order to spend more time with her children and is reportedly heading for divorce from her husband, Ben Affleck. Additionally, her Las Vegas residency is said to be in jeopardy following disappointing album sales and a lackluster tour. On a positive note, her new Netflix film, "Atlas," has reached the top spot on the streaming platform.
Despite the controversy surrounding her, Jennifer Lopez continues to captivate audiences with her performances and remains one of the most recognized global stars in the entertainment industry.
