### Mark Andrews' Blocking Key to Ravens' Recent Victories

In their recent 35-10 triumph over the Buffalo Bills, the Baltimore Ravens showcased a key player in a surprising role. Tight end Mark Andrews, typically known for his impressive pass-catching abilities, was instrumental in the team's victory through his blocking efforts. Andrews made pivotal blocks that helped spring major plays, from Derrick Henry’s 87-yard touchdown run to facilitating running back Justice Hill’s 19-yard touchdown catch, and even aiding quarterback Lamar Jackson in his 9-yard touchdown rush.

“Mark had some phenomenal blocks out there,” said Ravens coach John Harbaugh, highlighting Andrews' dominant blocking performance. This shift in Andrews' role comes amidst his being held without a catch for two consecutive games—an unprecedented occurrence in his seven-year NFL career.

The Ravens have bounced back from an 0-2 start with two straight wins, leading into an important division game against the Cincinnati Bengals. With the highest yards per game average (429.5) and ranking fifth in points per game (26.5), the Ravens' offense has found its stride, particularly through their rushing game. In their latest victory, the Ravens ran the ball 34 times while attempting just 18 passes. Of Jackson’s 13 completions, eight were to running backs Henry and Hill. Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken's game plans have capitalized on opponents' weaknesses. Recent victories against the Dallas Cowboys and the Buffalo Bills saw Baltimore exploit the vulnerabilities in their run defenses. Elevated by stellar blocking from both wide receivers and tight ends, the Ravens have found great success on the ground.

Despite the reduced role in the passing game, Andrews and his fellow receivers remain committed to their roles.
