The Buhl Park and Penn State Shenango will be hosting a viewing event at the Cabin Cafe, offering 250 free solar glasses, snacks, and supernova bubble teas starting at 2 p.m. Meanwhile, a watch party is planned at Mosquito Lake Beach Pavilion with free viewing glasses available while supplies last from 2-3:30 p.m. The Grand Resort will also be hosting a viewing party with music, food, and drink specials at 9520 East Market Street.
In addition, the Kinsman Free Public Library will provide protective viewing glasses and host live music and activities starting at 2 p.m. until shortly after the eclipse at 3 p.m. The library will be closed from 2-4 p.m. during the program but will reopen for regular services from 4-5 p.m. Lastly, the Eclipse at Eastwood event will take place from 2-4 p.m. in the Mudslingers parking lot near Hobby Lobby, offering activities like face painting, a bounce house, and eclipse glasses to watch the sun.
These events provide local residents with the opportunity to witness the celestial spectacle of the total solar eclipse, as the next one visible in the United States is not until August 23, 2044.
