**Katy O'Brian Joins Glen Powell in Edgar Wright's Reimagining of 'The Running Man'**

Katy O'Brian, known for her roles in "Love Lies Bleeding" and "Mission: Impossible 8," is set to join Glen Powell in Paramount's new adaptation of 'The Running Man.' The project will be directed by Edgar Wright, who co-wrote the screenplay with Michael Bacall.

'The Running Man' traces its origins to a novel by Stephen King, which he initially published under the pseudonym Richard Bachman. The story revolves around a wrongly convicted policeman who is thrust into a deadly TV game show where criminals, known as runners, must fight against killers to earn their freedom.

Producing the movie alongside Wright are Simon Kinberg and Nira Park. This new rendition follows a 1987 film adaptation directed by Paul Michael Glaser and starred Arnold Schwarzenegger in the lead role, supported by Yaphet Kotto, Maria Conchita Alonso, and Richard Dawson as the villainous game show host. The original movie generated $38 million at the domestic box office.

With a stellar cast and creative team, expectations are high for Edgar Wright's fresh take on this action-packed narrative. Fans of the original film and the novel alike are eagerly awaiting how this modern adaptation will unfold.
