In a series of roster moves, the Kansas City Chiefs have made several cuts and additions to their team ahead of the upcoming season. On Friday, the Chiefs waived wide receiver Jacob Copeland, tight end Izaiah Gathings, and safety Tyree Gillespie from their 90-man roster. They also dropped defensive end Jordan Smith, wide receiver Shi Smith, and wide receiver Anthony Miller.

There were more changes on Saturday as the Chiefs continued to mold their lineup. They released linebacker Cole Christiansen by withdrawing their exclusive rights free agent tender offer. Christiansen will now become a free agent and will have the opportunity to explore other options.

However, the Chiefs have also been bolstering their team by adding 17 undrafted rookies to their roster. These new signings include Utah cornerback Miles Battle, Southern Miss's Swayze Bozeman, Kansas State wide receiver Phillip Brooks, James Madison wide receiver Reggie Brown, Texas Tech tight end Baylor Cupp, Marshall tackle Ethan Driskell, Penn State linebacker Curtis Jacobs, Florida State defensive tackle Fabien Lovett, Tennessee Chattanooga tackle Griffin McDowell, Oklahoma guard McKade Mettauer, Kent State cornerback Derrick Miller, BYU punter Ryan Rehkow, USC cornerback Christian Roland-Wallace, UCLA running back Carson Steele, Villanova guard Nick Torres, and Central Connecticut State linebacker Luquay Washington.

These undrafted rookies will now have the opportunity to make an impression during training camp and vie for a spot on the Chiefs' roster. The team's coaching staff will evaluate their skills and determine who will make the final cut ahead of the regular season.

With these roster changes, the Chiefs are shaping their roster for the upcoming season and looking to build upon their success. As training camp approaches, all eyes will be on the new additions as they compete alongside the established players for a chance to shine on the field.
