Rock star Jon Bon Jovi has confirmed the news that his son, Jake Bongiovi, has tied the knot with Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown. The wedding took place over the weekend in a small family ceremony, according to Bon Jovi's appearance on BBC's The One Show.

During the interview, hosts Lauren Laverne and Roman Kemp asked Bon Jovi about the swirling rumors of his son's marriage to the British actor. Proudly confirming the reports, Bon Jovi described the couple as "great" and "absolutely fantastic." He also commended the bride's beauty and expressed his son's happiness, stating, "Jake is as happy as can be."

Amidst the joyful revelation, the rock legend also took a moment to update his fans on his own well-being. Bon Jovi assured everyone that he is still recuperating after undergoing throat surgery a couple of years ago to repair his vocal cords. To demonstrate his recovery, he humorously mentioned belting out his famous hits, "Livin' On A Prayer" and "Wanted," in the privacy of his hotel room.

The One Show episode was not short on exciting news, as Daisy Ridley joined the program to discuss the delayed upcoming Star Wars film, "Rey." Ridley shared her enthusiasm about meeting writer Steven Knight and reading the script for the highly anticipated installment, assuring fans that it is indeed happening.

In another notable segment of the show, Michael Ball made an appearance and opened up about his mixed emotions regarding taking over the Radio 2 show Love Songs. This opportunity arose following the untimely death of Radio 2 presenter Steve Wright in February. Ball, who had previously filled in for Wright, revealed his initial uncertainty about accepting the role but ultimately expressed his honor and excitement to continue the show which Wright had created.

Ball also paid tribute to Wright, a beloved figure in the industry who revolutionized the sound of Radio 2, by planning to play "Wichita Lineman" during his first Love Songs show that will air on Sunday, June 2.

The One Show, with its star-studded lineup, consistently provides captivating interviews and stories. The show airs on BBC One at 7pm on weekdays, delivering entertainment and insight to viewers across the nation.
