The company aims to foster the growth of a robust AI ecosystem as the world increasingly embraces AI development.

Launched on October 23, the AI PC Acceleration program was created with the purpose of connecting hardware vendors with software developers, utilizing Intel's vast resources and expertise. The ultimate goal is to tap into the full potential of AI applications and software, while also expanding the AI-focused PC ecosystem. Intel aspires to have AI integrated into 100 million Intel-powered PCs by 2025.

The newly introduced AI PC Developer Program, a sub-initiative of the AI PC Acceleration program, aims to simplify the adoption of AI technologies and frameworks on a larger scale. It offers developers access to various tools, workflows, AI deployment frameworks, and developer kits. These resources will enable developers to leverage the latest NPU (Neural Processing Unit) featured in Intel's Meteor Lake Core Ultra series of processors.

Furthermore, the program provides centralized resources such as toolkits, documentation, and training to help developers fully utilize their software and hardware in tandem with the technologies associated with Meteor Lake and beyond. Intel's open-source OpenVino toolkit is already widely used among developers.

The centralized resource platform is designed to streamline the AI development process, making it more efficient and effective for developers to integrate AI capabilities into their applications. It plays a pivotal role in Intel's strategy to advance AI technology and make it more user-friendly and adaptable to real-world applications.

Intel is not only targeting software developers but also independent hardware vendors (IHVs). While OEMs and system assemblers are already covered under Microsoft's requirements for Windows certification, Intel aims to involve individual parts vendors in their AI initiatives. The company wants to explore how AI can enhance audio performance, display performance, and storage performance.

Carla Rodriguez, Vice President and General Manager of Client Software Ecosystem Enabling, expressed the company's ambitions, stating, "We have made great strides with our AI PC Acceleration Program by working with the ecosystem. Today, with the addition of the AI PC Developer Program, we are expanding our reach to go beyond large ISVs and engage with small and medium-sized players and aspiring developers. Our goal is to drive a frictionless experience by offering a broad set of tools, including the new AI-ready Developer Kit."

The Intel AI PC Acceleration Program offers 24/7 access to resources and early reference hardware, allowing both ISVs and software developers to create and optimize workloads before launching retail components. Interested developers can join the AI PC Acceleration Program through the official webpage or by emailing AIPCIHV@intel.com for further information.

With the expansion of the AI PC Acceleration Program and the introduction of the AI PC Developer Program, Intel aims to foster innovation and collaboration within the AI community, paving the way for advancements in AI technology and its applications in various sectors.
