She briefly transitioned to college basketball before returning to the WNBA as the head coach of the Connecticut Sun in 2023. Another viable option is Curt Miller, who was recently dismissed from the Los Angeles Sparks. His tenure with Connecticut from 2016 to 2022 was highlighted by two WNBA Finals appearances and consistent playoff participation. Miller also has a history in Indiana, having coached the IU women's basketball team before moving to the WNBA.

Jenny Boucek, currently an assistant coach for the Indiana Pacers, is another name to consider. Boucek has previous experience as a head coach in the WNBA with the Seattle Storm and the now-defunct Sacramento Monarchs. While her tenure in the WNBA ended in 2017, her recent work with Rick Carlisle's coaching staff and familiarity with Krauskopf add weight to her potential candidacy.
