**Mia Sara Returns to the Big Screen with "The Life of Chuck"**
**Los Angeles (TNND)** - After more than a decade away from the film industry, Mia Sara, best known for her role as Sloane Peterson in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," has made a striking return. Sara, 57, graced the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of "The Life of Chuck," donning a sleek black dress and capturing the attention of attendees and media alike.
"The Life of Chuck," directed by Mike Flanagan, boasts a star-studded cast including Tom Hiddleston, Mark Hamill, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, and Carl Lumbly. This film marks a significant milestone for Sara, as it is her first movie role since her 2011 performance in "Dorothy and the Witches of Oz."
Sara, who made her film debut in the fantasy epic "Legend" alongside Tom Cruise and Tim Curry, has a varied career spanning numerous genres. She has also appeared in films like "Timecop" and the TV series "Birds of Prey." Despite her lengthy hiatus, Sara noted that her return was largely influenced by her admiration for director Mike Flanagan and his work.
Having crossed paths socially with Flanagan and his wife, Kate Siegel, Sara cited their encouragement as pivotal in her decision to return to acting. "We've been such fans, and we met socially... He just said, 'Well, don't you ever really want to work again?' And I said, 'Oh, I don't know.' He said, 'Well, what if I offered you something?' I said, 'Well, okay, if you offer me something, I'll do it,'" Sara told the outlet.
When discussing future projects, Sara expressed unwavering support for Flanagan. "If Mike needs me, I'll be there," she stated.
"The Life of Chuck," based on a novella by Stephen King, will be in select theaters June 6 and will have a nationwide release on June 13.
