The recall impacts a significant number of Hyundai and Genesis models, including over 145,000 vehicles from the 2022 to 2024 Ioniq 5, the 2023 to 2025 Ioniq 6, and the GV60 and GV70, along with the 2023 and 2024 G80 models. Additionally, approximately 63,000 Kia EV6 vehicles from 2022 to 2024 are affected by this recall.

As part of the corrective measures, dealers are set to inspect and, if necessary, replace the control unit and a fuse. They will also perform a software update. Notably, owners who had their vehicles recalled earlier in the year for the same issue will need to revisit their dealerships for this follow-up fix.

Vehicle owners will be notified about the recall through letters sent in December and January, urging them to take prompt action to rectify the problem.
