### Haribo Recalls 'Happy Cola F!ZZ' Gummies Due to Cannabis Contamination in the Netherlands

A well-known confectionery company, Haribo, has initiated a recall of specific gummy candies in the Netherlands due to potential cannabis contamination. The alert came after a Dutch family experienced dizziness following the consumption of Haribo’s "Happy Cola F!ZZ" gummies, which are shaped like soda bottles.

Following these reports, the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) conducted tests on the product and confirmed the presence of cannabis. In response, Haribo has issued a nationwide recall of the affected gummies across the European country.

The recall targets bags with a best-before date of January 2026, as a precautionary measure. Although only a single batch in the Netherlands appears to be affected, Haribo has stated that they are working closely with authorities to thoroughly investigate the contamination.

According to a statement obtained by The New York Post, Haribo emphasized the importance of consumer safety and assured that full refunds will be provided to customers who purchased the tainted batches. The company has expressed regret over the incident and has taken swift action to remove the products from the market to ensure the wellbeing of their consumers.
