The Green Bay Packers have made significant roster changes as they continue their preparations for the upcoming NFL season. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced on Monday that the team has signed wide receiver Julian Hicks, offensive lineman Lecitus Smith, and wide receiver Dimitri Stanley. In addition to these signings, the Packers have also made several releases and waived/injured one player.

Hicks, a rookie wide receiver standing at 6-2 and weighing 201 pounds, brings with him a promising college career. He played for Central Michigan University in 2018, the University of Akron in 2019, and wrapped up his collegiate journey at the University at Albany from 2022-23. During his time in college, Hicks showcased his skills in the field, amassing a total of 120 receptions for 1,677 yards and finding the end zone 23 times. He will don the No. 81 jersey as a member of the Packers.

Smith, a 6-3, 314-pound offensive lineman, joins the Packers as a second-year player out of Virginia Tech. He was selected in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals and played in 10 games as a rookie, starting two games at right guard. After his time with the Cardinals, Smith spent time on the practice squads of the Houston Texans and Philadelphia Eagles in 2023. During his college career, he demonstrated his talent with 45 games and 38 starts, earning two All-ACC selections in 2019 and 2020. Smith will be wearing the No. 61 jersey for the Packers.

Stanley, a rookie wide receiver standing at 6-0 and weighing 200 pounds, began his football journey at the University of Colorado from 2018-21 before transferring to Iowa State for his final two seasons in 2022-23. He made an impact during his time at the University of Colorado, recording 70 receptions for 820 yards and scoring four touchdowns. As a redshirt freshman in 2019, he earned recognition as a member of the SB Nation All-Pac-12 freshman team. In his tenure at Iowa State, Stanley played in 23 games, starting nine, and totaled 48 receptions for 559 yards and a touchdown. He will wear the No. 19 jersey for the Packers.

In addition to these signings, the Packers have also made some roster changes. Cornerback Anthony Johnson and defensive lineman Deandre Johnson have been released from the team, creating opportunities for new players to make their mark. Receiver Thyrick Pitts has been waived/injured due to a thigh injury.

With these new additions and changes to the roster, the Green Bay Packers demonstrate their commitment to assembling a formidable team for the upcoming season. Fans will eagerly await the opportunity to see Julian Hicks, Lecitus Smith, and Dimitri Stanley on the field, as they strive to contribute to the team's success.
